In the context of the construction of a National Marine Biodiscovery Laboratory in Ireland, Dr. Fernando Reyes, Head of Chemistry at MEDINA, was invited to participate at a one-day workshop on the 4th of September by the Marine Institute of Ireland together with other European experts and Irish researchers. It was an opportunity to share the experience of MEDINA in Marine Natural Products Drug Discovery, to analyze the work performed so far in the design and creation of an Irish marine biorepository and to discuss new strategies to improve the inventory and study the Irish marine biodiversity and the role of marine resources in the development of the Irish bio economy.
