El desarrollo de terapias eficaces se encuentra limitado por los espectros qu\u00edmicos de las drogas sint\u00e9ticas y la falta de buenos modelos precl\u00ednicos con aplicaciones en el descubrimiento de f\u00e1rmacos. La implementaci\u00f3n de modelos tumorales 3D (esferoides) que imitan la fisiolog\u00eda del tumor in vitro, combinada con el uso de productos naturales microbianos, que cuentan con una amplia diversidad qu\u00edmica, ha propulsado el desarrollo de plataformas de nueva generaci\u00f3n para el descubrimiento de f\u00e1rmacos. Con estas herramientas, hemos identificado productos naturales derivados del hongo <em>Angustimassarina populi<\/em> CF-097565 que muestran actividad antitumoral espec\u00edfica en modelos 3D de c\u00e1ncer de mama luminal. Dichos productos naturales incluyen dos herbarinas y dos derivados de naftoquinonas que no se hab\u00edan descrito hasta ahora. El estudio tambi\u00e9n muestra una citotoxicidad diferencial de los compuestos en tumores 3D en comparaci\u00f3n con cultivos 2D, lo que apunta a los esferoides como una herramienta fundamental para
