EU-OPENSCREEN es una red de plataformas de cribado y de qu\u00edmica medica creada por la infraestructura europea ERIC (European Research Infrastructure Consortium) con el fin de promover el dise\u00f1o de nuevos medicamentos. Por consiguiente, el articulo \u201cEU-OPENSCREEN: A Novel Collaborative Approach to Facilitate Chemical Biology\u201d presenta proyectos recientes y exitosos de biolog\u00eda y de qu\u00edmica desarrollados en algunos institutos miembros y nos proporciona una visi\u00f3n general de la infraestructura EU-OPENSCREEN.<\/p>\n<p>En el Proyecto Renal Cell Carcinoma (RCC) desarrollado por Fundaci\u00f3n MEDINA, se describe como, usando se identific\u00f3 un compuesto de origen natural previamente no reportado y activo en la regulaci\u00f3n del ciclo celular de varios tumores espor\u00e1dicos con una mutaci\u00f3n especifica. Esta mutaci\u00f3n, llamada VHL, es responsable de RCC o enfermedad renal.
