▪ Biopesticides Europe 2018, June, Amsterdam – Netherlands

Within the global efforts towards a sustainable agriculture, biopesticides offer an everyday more plausible alternative to the use of synthetic pesticides. Fundación MEDINA ´s microbial collection contains a large diversity of microorganisms able to fight important phytopathogens at the origin of multimillion-worth losses in agriculture. MEDINA attended the European Congress Biopesticides 2018 where companies and research centers presented their new strategies for the research and development of products meeting the new regulation. Victor González Menéndez, researcher of the microbiology department, spoke about “Endophytes as biocontrol agent against fungal phytopathogens” showing some of MEDINA´s results in crop protection.
