▪ XIV National Congress of Mycology, 19 – 21 de Septiembre, Tarragona – España

During the 14th National congress of mycology held in Tarragona in September, Víctor González-Menéndez, head of the fungi collection at Fundación MEDINA, participated at a round table about applied mycology and industry and presented the latest results of the foundation in the “Induction of filamentous fungi´s secondary metabolites production”. Rachel Serrano, also researcher at MEDINA’s microbiology department, presented the poster “Xerophytic lichens as a source of fungal diversity with antimicrobial potential” and discussed her work “Fungal grass endophytes fungi as biocontrol agents against fungal phytopathogens.”
