Dr. Fernando Reyes, head of the chemistry department at MEDINA, and Jesús Martín, senior scientist in the same department, will teach the course: “Liquid chromatography / Mass spectrometry and their applications to Natural Products from the 4th to the 8th of February in the Scientific Research Center of Yucatán(CICY). Coordinated by Dr. Marcela Gamboa Angulo, the course is addressed to technical staff and researchers in chemical sciences familiarized with liquid chromatography (HPLC) and its main objective is to provide the participants with theoretical fundamentals about liquid chromatography coupled with UV and mass detectors, and its applications in the separation, detection and identification of new Natural Products.
This course is organized within the frame of a fruitful collaboration between Fundación MEDINA and the CICY orientated to the valorization of the high biodiversity of the Mexican region of Yucatan as a source of new Natural Products with biological activity.
