Fundacion MEDINA has attended the XXV Congress of the Spanish Society of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology, held in Granada from June 2 to 4, 2022.

Caridad Díaz, Senior Researcher of the Department of Target Screening and Validation at MEDINA, presented a talk on "Transcriptomic and metabolomic analysis of the adaptation of the uropathogenic strains of Escherichia coli CFT073 and UPEC 536 to an artificial urine medium".

Pilar Sánchez, Junior Researcher, and Mercedes de la Cruz, Senior Researcher, both also members of the Department of Target Screening and Validation at MEDINA, presented their poster on "Development and validation of an in vitro assay mimicking urine conditions to identify new active compounds against multiresistant uropathogenic Enterobacteriaceae”,
Both events were presented in the congress as results of the PI19/00921 project “New antibiotics against multi-resistant Gram-negative pathogens”, financed by the Carlos III Institute).
